TextMate with a drop of Photoshop and you're sorted. If you need to use a WYSIWYG application such as Dreamweaver (although I hasten to refer to such activities as "web design"), you can install Windows on any intel mac using Boot Camp or Parallels.
P.S. Far from macs being a dead end for web design purposes, everyone knows all the cool web designers use macs
TextMate, Photoshop CS2, Dreamweaver MX, Flash Pro 8 ... theres stacks of software available for designing websites, if your needing to use ASP, .NET and/or MS Access etc. etc. then Parallels or BootCamp is around when you need to use Windows.

This man speaks sense , although Dreamweaver MX is an excellent tool for web design and is readily available for mac's. All the discs have both OS X & Windows versions on them. I use it every day at work and have never, ever used any of the nasty WYSIWYG features.
