I was thinking of building a new machine for around £500-600. I'd rather move away onto a laptop though so i'm not tied down to my desk. I thought about increasing my budget a little and getting a MacBook.

I would need to use photoshop and dreamweaver quite often though, can people manage with the 13'3" screen?

No, you'd definitely need a second monitor if you're using anything more advanced than a text editor (to store the various pallettes somewhere).

Fo sure. I just about manage on my 15" MBP, 13.3" would drive me crazy. :)

No chance can you develop on that screen, I was on a 24" @ 1920x1200, but Im now on a 30" 2560x1600 and 24" is too small for me now :)

Bigger is always better! and theres no way I could develop on my lappy screen, it would drive me insane!

I have a macbook and connect it to my dell 20" widescreen when I need the extra space :)

The macbook is a great laptop!! Light, fast, good battery what more could you want!
