Web dev and cloud gaming machine

Its been a long time since i've had a personal PC as have generally used work macbooks for most stuff.

Looks like i'm going on garden leave for a few months so could do with a desktop to do web browsing, a bit of amateur web dev and some cloud (Stadia & Geforce Now) gaming.

I'm not looking to spend much money but need to strike a balance with performance on day to day tasks. I have a Samsung 34" Ultra Wide monitor it'll need to drive and mouse and keyboard, ideally i'd like gigabit Ethernet onboard as well and I guess windows rather than linux.

Anyone recommend a small / mini pc and spec that would make sense for this?

What is considered not much money?

An intel nuc could work?

Or are you comfortable building as you could build something relatively cheap as you just need an intel cpu with igpu or an and apu.

I'm thinking sub £500 - the NUCs look good but not sure what spec to go with, or would something like the beelink / Minisforum offer better value?

I think they'll all do what you need them to .

I would personally opt for the Intel Nuc though and avoid beelink.
