Web hosting

Hi all,

I have recently got into the website creation business, having been recommended to a company and contracted to build a website for them.

I have made the website, which they are currently checking, and they have asked about web hosting, something I am not extremely knowledgeable about.

As far as I am aware, all I have to do is get them to create an account with a web-hosting site, eg 1and1. I will then get an FTP server onto which I upload the the website. Is this correct?

The website itself is just a simple html site, with some java functionality. With this in mind, can anyone suggest a reliable web hosting service with good customer service, as cheap as possible preferably? I don't really need email or any extras like that.

Thanks for that. I forgot to mention that they already have a domain name with a company called EasySpace. How easy is it to transfer this to another webhost?

swapping the domain name over is as simple as changing some Name Server entries.
