web hosting

i am after web hosting, to also include two domains and so far came across justhost.com where they offer loads of unlimited stuff plus 3 domains for free at only £6.99 pm.

is justhost any good, or do you guys have another suggestion?

What do you need to host? Oversold shared hosting generally isn't that good for high traffic stuff.

I believe JustHost are paying the most on affiliate sign-ups these at the moment, this is why there are lot of sites promoting them right now.

Go for a company that's been around a little longer with a track record...

I don't think there would be high traffic, just need it for my new small business, you know the usual stuff: about us, contact us, services etc

i am also considing to give my clients online process for their works ie they login and check what stage the work is at with also PDF documents. First website hence noob q's

just had quick look, TSOhost looks good on Pro package about £50 per year

final noob q, Linux or micro$oft for the hosting thingy??

Unless you're going to be using asp.net, go with linux.

That depends what you need from it. If you need to use Microsoft technologies (e.g. ASP.NET), then obviously you'll want Windows hosting, but this is usually a fair bit more pricey.

They're average. I think they're expensive but mainly I don't like their control panel thingy.

I had a 1&1 domain purely for mail. Their IMAP server was annoyingly slow. Moved the domain to Vida and all is well.
