hi guys

my first little adventure into building a website didnt end to badly, that project is drawing to a close just a few tweeks here and there im just waiting for a few new pics to put on but im about there with it for now

www.premierplantproducers.co.uk

having enjoyed that im looking to my next little adventure into the world of web design.
im just in the planning stages atm but would like to pick your brains if i may.
the site im looking to do should be fairly simple it will have a main page a contacts page then i would like to create a smart looking gallary to display pieces of artwork.
currently there are no plans to add online purchasing but i wouldnt rule it out completley for the future.
i would like to add a simple function to make a simple way for non computerminded people to upload new photos of artwork and replace old versions this to me dosent sound so simple what do you think is the best way of doing this and can anyone point me in the right directions for reading material or tutorials.

thanks for taking time to read this

am i asking the impossible here?

will it just be easyer for the individuals to email me the pictures and i upload them myself?

It depends, if you want to learn how to build this yourself you are going to have to spend a lot more effort learning.

You're still going to have to do a lot of learning if you use a framework or CMS for it anyway.

As soon as you move into the realms of managing content you need to think users, databases, security.

i see

where would you suggest is a good starting point or is this really into the realms of full time learning ?

i dont mind learning but my spare time is limited 2 kids and a full time job.

i can maybe achieve the same thing and simply change the pictures myself until my understanding improves

thanks for taking the time to respond
