Web page redirection help

I have;

Site www.a.com hosted by company A

I also have www.b.com hosted by company b

I want to transfer www.a.com domain to company c and get www.a.com to point to www.b.com without affecting search engine rankings etc. I have been told to change the nameservers or DNS entry for www.a.com after it has been transfered and that should do it.

Would someone tell me how to do this?

Check with the host who you purchased the domain from...

Login using the details the host gave you and go into the configuration area, just look for DNS settings or something to that degree. You simply need to change the nameservers the domain is pointing at...

Your name servers might look like this....

ns1.yourhostno1.com
ns2.yourhostno1.com

ns1.yourhostno2.com
ns2.yourhostno2.com

Your host will likely cover all this type of stuff under a FAQ or HELP section.
