This seems to have been happening for the past month now.

If for example I view the GD random picture thread only approx half the pictures on the page will load up. The rest will be the red x placeholder. If I refresh the page more will load up and then more again if I refresh again.

I'm using windows 7 trail, with IE8 although the issue also exists in Google Chrome too. Sometimes I get no page at all in Chrome and have to refresh.
I'm using a wireless router to virgin 10mb cable.
The issue occurs whether the link is otherwise utilised or not.
I have no problems maxing out the connection on http /ftp downloads.
I've tried different wireless channels.

Does anyone else experience this problem / know of a fix? It's mighty annoying.

no my wireless connection is fine....the only reason i can think it would bring up the red x is that its taking too long and timing out.

Hi, my name’s Feran and I’m working with the Internet Explorer Outreach Team to provide assistance and help answer questions people might have about Internet Explorer.

In IE8 have you tried enabling the Compatibility View feature? It is a broken page icon located next to the refresh button on the toolbar. Clicking the icon may help resolve your issues.

When using Microsoft Web Mail (Hotmail and MSN email accounts), a message appears in the status bar typically like: (6 items remaining) Downloading picture http://gfx1.hotmail.com/mail . . . . i_info.gif

The last file that struggles to run is some .js script.

Tried most things to resolve. Nothing as yet.
