Web presenters

Just wanted some feedback to see if this was a good idea or not.

The other day my boss was contacted by a company who provide video presenters which get embedded on websites to interact and introduce content on the site.

Has anyone seen these before and think they would add anything?

Personally i think it looks those annoying adverts on the yahoo homepage that pop up. I dont think most people would actually look at it, they would just close the page. Maybe thats just me .......

It has its place.

I don't know anything about your service/products/market, so I can't tell you whether its good for you.

It wouldnt take much for people to find them damn annoying though. That bloke telling me to put my address in.. he got my attention.. but it wasnt good attention.

As soon as I heard him say the words "Web presenters like me..." I closed the tab.

The only time something like that may be good is on a specific page which has warning beforehand, or had a play button. The mass majority of people do NOT like something with sound autoplaying.
