I'm moving down to London to do contracting and will be without my desktop for a couple of month's so am in the market for a laptop.
I need to be able to comfortably run Visual Studio 2008, IIS, SQL Server and a few windows services.
I'm a bit out of the loop as to what's hot and whats not, and how far my money can stretch. The last 'laptop' I bought was an NC10 for my girl friend, which whilst being an awesome lappy for the money, clearly isnt going to be up to my needs.
Critical requirements are - quiet, good battery life, Win 7, at least 1680x1050 resolution.
Would like, but not critical - SSD, 6GB RAM
Im not sure if what im asking is outrageous given my budget, but I appreciate any help you can offer.
