Web Standards

Interesting read, It is a shame so many "webdesign" companies seem to ignore web standards :( there have been companies who have asked me to come to an interview for a job who's sites have been rubbish and very badly coded :(

Seems to be a lot of chancers who know nothing about both coding and standards....omg I'm starting to type a essay.

Anyway, thx for posting those links :)

:D No problem. I get very annoyed with so called 'web professionals' who don't actually know the first thing about web design and try and sell people websites.

Thought I'd try and bring standards to someone's attention :) All helps spread the word.

Welcome to life. Happens everywhere, loads of gift-of-the-gab'bers swanning around strutting like they are the biznees waffling when in reality the only thing they are good at is royally screwing up, but still walk home with the benjamins whilst others mop up the mess they leave behind. It's not just web-design.. it's life :(

Thanks for those links :), I feel i'm well in the know about standards but if always helps to keep update with everything.

I know what you mean though, there is so many people out there that will design a website and providing it loads on Internet Explorer with the ruff layout they were wanting they'll think "perfect, now for the content..." and not even bother considering how other browsers, platforms and even people with disabilties see it.

As well as this i think website developers/designers should consider the actual user interface as well, for example keeping things as simple as possible when navigating around a website without making people have to think "hmm, what does this do?" and making everything as easy to use as possible.
