Hi guys, just wondering if it's possible to spec a lovely little web surfing kit for my dad. He goes to a lot of flash heavy sites and plays a lot of flash games and does use it for Skype quite a bit.

I'm also looking to put in a SSD card for him (under £80 so the new 120gb Sandisk one looks great so feel free to spec that in). Won't be needing OS, ODD and HDD or any peripherals.

how about these:
1. net book
2. Intel atom or AMD net top + keyboard/mouse
If not powerful enough, can go for
3. Core i3+H67/H61 MoBo + cheap case

Something along these lines maybe, not sure if the PSU will fit or not though (first time putting a SFF build together).

You forgot a PSU and i think a SSD will be better than the HDD. If its just for web surfing i don't think 1TB is needed. The 120Gb SSD in stoner's spec will be great.

The a6-3500 also has better graphics than the 2120.

You are right.

I thought SSD isn't that critical and web surfing is more of a term for ordinary home use so I guess storing some family photos/videos or films would be potential use case for his dad.

depending on the setup i dont think 90W will be enough. The a6-3500 uses about 80W on full load. Looks pretty nice though.

Its not critical, Just thinking, as its just for web surfing i doubt a lot of storage space will be used. If only ~100GB will ever be used why not get a faster SSD. Will make loading times a lot faster too.
