Not sure if this is the right forum but at the moment I am living in rented without a phone line and wondered if anyone in a similar situation has the tmobile usb modem they are offering. This is what im on about in case anyone isnt sure http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/personal/.../internet-on-the-move/internet-on-your-laptop

If so then what kind of speeds do you normally get (it says upto 1.8Mbps but realworld??) as it looks like I need to commit to a 12 month contract for this service and dont want to pay for it if its rubbish?

I'm not quite sure about the actual speeds - but beware, the download limit in a month is 3GB or 10GB depending on which plan you choose (see the "fair use policy") - so if you use it more than fairly lightly, this isn't really plausible. Plus it's massively expensive compared with "normal" broadband.
