Webber a replacement confirmed.

So Red Bull promote from their junior programme, and not sign Kimi/Lewis or Alonso.....who would have thought it....

Protecting zee golden child. I am a big fan of Ricciardo though. I would love to see him beat vettel next year.

Just a thought. ...what if jev starts thrashing Ricciardo now until the end of the season :p

Been as good as done for a few weeks now and really they had to promote internally otherwise they would be proving the Torro Rosso team completely and utterly pointless.

It does seem the logical choice, glad for Ricciardo seems a nice bloke.

Feel a bit for JEV, he's done s decent enough job and was never in the running for the seat... He can't feel his career is going to go anywhere unless he can get out of the RB program soon.

There must have been some pressure to do this. The turn over in the STR team with no promotion to RBR made them look rather pointless.

JEV disappointed. In all the tests he did before he joined F1 he was epic fast. He topped all the time sheets and everyone thought he was the next big thing. Unfortunately it didn't translate to race performances.

No he hasn't set the world on fire and I feel Ricciardo is probably the better choice, but he hasn't done terribly and although Ricciardo seems the faster of the 2, he has scored decent points.

I more meant that you'd imagine RB won't be looking for TR graduates for a good few seasons and we all know that RB don't mind binning off drivers for the next generation to come through. If he can find a drive for someone outside of RB (like for Lotus as has been rumoured) it must surely be in his best interest.

It'll probably be Antonia Felix Da Housecat who replaces him at STR, as all the other RB Juniors are in F3 or lower.

Possibly Coletti as he's looking good for the GP2 title, although he's not and RBJ driver any more.

Kimi has done nothing since coming back to make me think he would even be able to see which way Vettel and his jimmys went, let alone rustle them.

I think the team would have been a good fit for Kimi's personality though, but he has built a good environment at Lotus.

Part of me quite likes the idea of each of the top drivers being in different teams. But then part of me wants to see Senna/Prost, Hamilton/Alonso style spats :p

I can't see any interesting moves now, looks more and more likely massa will some how keep that drive. How just how. Get rid of him, you need the points from a good number 2. Not someone who is midfield driver at best.

Shame about RBR for us fans, a decent driver there, would once and for all decide how good vet is. He's darn good but is he darn good or great. Think that can only be fleshed out when you get two amazing established drivers in the same team.
