Hi guys,
Apologies if this is the wrong section. I'm looking to configure a fairly simple webcam/ip cam in the house that we can use to view over the Internet when holiday.

I'm looking for something which will integrate with some of my existing kit as much as possible:

Sky router connected to Apple Airport Base Station.
iMac upstairs.
iPhone/iPad which will be used to view the content via app or browser.

What are peoples recommendations?

Cheers.

I've got a Foscam FI8918W which is a wireless IP camera with pan and tilt.

You wire to your router, run the software from the CD to configure your wireless network and then can put it where you want.

You can then view and control it via any web client and there is an iphone / ipad apps available.

Thanks for the recommendation, just had a quick read up and sounds very good for a decent price. Can I ask which iPhone/iPad app you use? I notice there are quite a few.

Just to confirm also, I'm not really bothered about recording either, main thing is to be able to check in when away.

Presume you're happy with the foscam?

Yeah one of the main reasons we want one is to keep an eye on the pets whilst we're away. Family drop in to feed them each day, but it's good to check they're in etc.

A+ thread! I am currently thinking about getting a cam so I can keep an eye on the farting machine that is our newly rehomed old lad of an english springer. Something like the foscam FI8918W looks like it should do the job.

Cheers

Also interested in getting an ip camera to keep an eye or my 2 kittens, having been looing at the Tenvis JPT3815/ JPT3815W. It has all the features of the foscom but is about 20 quid cheaper.

Has anyone got one?
