webcam remote monitoring software

Hi

A friend of mine has a laptop downstairs and a PC upstairs all on a wireless network.

When is working downstairs he wants to keep an eye on his children upstairs.

The children use the PC upstairs and he was wondering if it is possible to put a web cam and some sort of software on the PC upstairs and watch it from downstairs.

He has looked at Babay monitoring equipment but this isnt cheap.

ispy could be good,

Dont need it to record just watch, and not on a website but inside the LAN of the router so eay to set up ?

iSpy works great with IP cams, never used it with USB cameras

reading the blurb it looks like you have to put it in a website,

it is a usb camera which is plugged into a PC, which the kids use.

So he wants to use the webcam to keep an eye on the kids, whilst they use the computer.

Try 1AVMonitor

1AVMonitor seems perfect for the situation. It creates a secure website with live video and photo slide show. Maybe you should give it a try.
