Webcam software for remote viewing

Just bought a webcam, never had one before. Basically I want to use it so that I can keep an eye on my house whilst at work, spying on the dog

Having never had a webcam before, can someone recommend some software I can use for this purpose. Presumably I need some sort of server setup at home, ideally I'd like to just connect to a web page so I don't have to install anything on my work PC. Some sort of login required as well.

I tried Oovoo but it seems a bit overkill for what I need and it kept crashing with some kind of Java issue.

Any suggestions?

ooVoo is not really for surveillance, but for webcam conf.

Depending on what you want to do, either send image to FTP, or stream video, one of the following should do:

Broadcam

Dorgem

Webcam Timershot

WebcamXP

yawcam
