Hi;

I am completely new to the webcam/skype world and am after some help on what to get. I am after a webcam that we allow me to speak to and see my family over the Internet.

I have a laptop I can use whilst away and a PC at home. I will install Skype on both.

I hope to pay around £30 for a webcam (£60 for two). Any ideas which ones to get?

Thanks in advance

The logitech offerings aren't that bad. Video quality is excellent all my friends have said.

Be careful as well what software you choose, I had to eventually uninstall Skype as it rudely kept changing my sound settings so that even music playback began to start going through the wrong channels....

I use a new Philips Toucam webcam. It doesnt need any drivers either which is great for swapping between machines like i do a lot.

Ok.

Logitech it is then. If the sound is no good, I'll invest in a couple of headsets.

Thanks to all who replied.
