Wasn't really sure where to put this, as it's not really specific to any OS.

We need to find a service that lets us present videos/powerpoints/documents to a large number of people, our last webinar had about 500 attendees.

At the moment we're using GoToMeeting but it's not really cutting it anymore, we've had a trial with On24 which wasn't impressive.

What do you use in your business? We're looking at WebEx next.

Thanks

We use Webex. Its not the cheapest but it works. Big company meetings get 1000+ users

I've just thought, is WebEx suitable for presenting to external clients/customers?

Ideally we'd just want them to sign up and get a link to watch the presentation.

i'm assuming you mean something where the sign in and the watch a live stream of the presentation or do you mean where they can download and watch the presentation themselves or like a giant 1000 person skype call?

We just need something where we can have up to 5 people presenting a live stream (videos, documents etc) to approximately 500 people. Ideally the viewers don't need extra software installed to view, and they only interaction they'll have is answering polls/questionnaires.

I manage the webex accounts for our company (Im in IT)
Yes, a lot of the sales guys use webex to host to external clients for demos/sales presentations and general updates on current projects etc.
Once you have the meeting you can send a link to anyone you want to view the recorded session (For those who could not attend etc) i dont think sign up their end is required for that

We have over 500 hosts on our webex account. I think our company is (It was last year atleast for a while) the biggest user of webex in Europe and we get very few complaints with their service

Hey,

Thanks for the reply! I've just been given a lengthy list of requirements for the webinar software.

1. Fully customisable registration form (no restriction on type or amount of questions asked)
2. Client can access their registration list pre and post event
3. Detailed analytics about registrants (when/attend/interest/poll and questions)
4. Event can hosted by platform preserving the registration page
5. Easy for both producers and presenters to use
6. Audio available for at least 1 hour prior to live time so we can check sound levels
7. Staff to communicate when event is occurring (team chat)
8. See who is submitting questions and then able to order them in list of priority/assign to speakers
9. Have multiple speakers to different countries
10. No limits to amount of staff able to join event
11. No limit on amount of attendees (up to 1000)
12. Record event in a common format (wmv/mp4) which is downloadable after the event
13. Make minor edits like top/tailing video
14. High quality output - sound and image quality
15. Able to play short videos
16. Able to do simiuli live events (presentation is pre-recorded and then transfers seamlessly to a live Q&A)
17. Email reminders for registrants sent out from system

I'm not sure if you know if WebEx (or any other products) meet any of these?

Cheers.

Just been chatting to WebEx live chat, seems they can meet all of the requirements. Also just checked out Saba which seems quite good too.
