Was wondering if there is anyway to have a webpage as my wallpaper.

I want the Battlefield 3 battlelog to be my wallpaper so I don't have to go on my browser when I want to play.

Thanks

Ooh, live desktop - I remember that. Wasn't it a feature of XP that they discontinued because nobody was using it?

I don't know if it's still possible, but someone will be along in a second who will.

You could always just have your desired page set to your homepage on your browser, fire it up before you start playing and use the "F11" function to remove your browser window (Works like that in Win7 anyway) and the page will be displayed in full screen.

Give it a try to see what you think?

why not use live wallpaper and have a movie as your desktop? there are fixes and regitry tweaks, you can google to make it run on later versions of windows so in theory u can record a game sequence of you playing and have that on repeat as your wallpaper or any movie clip you want

a la dreamscene

Because that's not even remotely close to what he asked for?

why would you need a web browser open to run it as a dreamscene on the desktop?

all it would be is that page or a sequence as his desktop

He wants his desktop background to be a web page (so he can basically jump in to a game without loading up a browser). Not a video or game clip..

Trollin'? :p

ah so he can click from the desktop directly from a link you mean? not just look like the webpage.

This is all completely irrelevant to what the OP is asking for.

OP, the feature you are thinking of I think was called active desktop, but as Snograt says, I don't think it is still included because it was almost completely useless. Best option would be to either set Battlelog as your homepage or make a shortcut directly to it.

Under Windows XP you go to Display Properties/Desktop/Customize Desktop/Web and the feature is there... Windows Vista or 7, I have no idea - sorry!

you can do it with dreamscene and active desktop and place html code in the desktop like i said before i would you dreamscene and do it that way with the webpage you want

its similar to placing a widget on your desktop there are registry tweaks to do it

its not supposed to excist just like dreamscene shouldnt work either but u can make them work with reg tweaks cant rememebr the prog i used to do it
