Webpage for Public Display

Does anyone know or have suggestions for the following.

We need to have an internal webpage open in full screen on a display, the machine is running Vista and I can install any app required.

I want the page to refresh every x minutes, but for a set URL.

For instance, if someone navigates away from the set page it'll go back to it every 10 mins.

you can use f11 to make it fullscreen in every browser, as for auto refresh there might be a firefox plugin that will do that for you.

He needs something a bit more specialised if he anticipates the malevolent/inquisitive user may go snooping around and wants to stop them.

Although, I have never looked into that sort of setup.

Let me explain more - the people who can access this site are all trusted employees.

The website is a custom monitoring website which shows the status of servers etc... its set to auto refresh every once in a while. Purely as a safety measure, if anyone does change the page or navigate away I'd like it to go back to the page we specified.

I'm prob not explaining this properly.

you could do that with firefox addons i would guess. create a firefox window and then go to the page, install auto refresh and remove all the toolbars

I think Opera's "Kiosk Mode" would do what you want: http://www.opera.com/support/mastering/kiosk/

I have used it a few times for big wall displays and it's perfect
