I'm a drone hobbyist, nothing special but have been contacted by a company wanting to use some of my footage for their website. The clip itself was found by them on my Youtube account.

They said "how much are you looking for ref copywriter?", "what i'm asking is permission to copy it from Youtube we will try and attach your name to the piece if you like?"

I'm quite ignorant to my rights or options but really i'm happy for them to simply use it then reference where it came from. Seems reasonable but is there anything i should be concerned about in such a situation.

Depends on the shot and it's content/quality. Is it difficult to get/unusual, for example? Any identifiable people? Are they using it sell something you don't agree with?

Otherwise just go with standard stock pricing, which is circa £80 for 1080p and £120 for 4K. Not much to be concerned about.

Is there not something whereby they can freely use it (perhaps to some limited/reasonable degree) so long as they credit it to you? More so, as it's publicly available anyway?

But hey, if they're offering some cash, go for it.
What's the website?

I asked them to credit me in the end. Name, link date, direct to YT video. They were thankfull and will reach out once the site is up.
