Ok guys I’ve been asked to give my mate a hand and give some constructive criticism on this website he’s created for uni, but to be honest I don’t know what im lookin for other than the content/navigation..

Seems fine

All valid code and everything...maybe some skip links in to skip the navigation? Not sure really. Otherwise totally fine!

Looks alright to me and it seems to do the job. One gripe I do have is that you're claiming that it has valid CSS, which it doesn't.

that looks pretty nice, it fits its purpose well and the colours are used well, one thing i don't like is the search bar, the pattern inside it makes me feel like it's restricted and the text i write in it isn't the easiest to read.

Agree with RT, plus the search button needs to look more like a button. Just a border would do it.
