Hi all.

Just finished this website which I started this morning. Most of the content is on there, just need to rewrite the profiles, and sort the video page. I plan to have a row of thumbnails, which you click and the video loads underneath.

Feedback/comments would be good.

Cheers!

I like it. I'm a fan of black and white imagery, and I like the simple menu.

A few minor points:

The site is just a tad too wide for 800px. It's hardly anything, but if you're going to get that close, you may aswell go the extra 10 or so pixels and let it fit on fully. :)

Logo? I know that personal sites don't need a logo, but you don't have any sort of header. I had to check the domain name to find out the name of the site. Some sort of header should be present, not just for readers, but for search engines.

That's about it, the content of the site isn't to my tastes so I'm not in a position to examine that. But from a visual and design point of view, it's pretty damn good.

Thanks for the input mate.

Hmmm, too wide for 800px. I specifically stuck to a width of 760px so 800x600 users could still view it, but you're right, it's out by a couple of px. Got a feeling its the bottom div being a few pixels longer than it needs to be. I'll try adjusting it.

I too love black sites hence this one and www.yorkshirejunkies.co.uk lol. You don't think this is TOO grey and boring though do you? The content in most pages have a bit of colour so its not too bad I guess.

Reckon the blue links work ok with the black/white/grey?

Good point about the header, I might slip something in underneath the content div. Just wanted a clean simple site.

Cheers.

I don't believe it's too grey. Dark sites can look gorgeous when done right, and this is one of them. If you want to inject some colour, I would go with blue, the same as the hyperlinks, and perhaps make the header the same colour?
