you really want to understand how html and css work together, it doesnt take long and you dont need to remember all the tags, its most important that you understand the syntax and how it works before doing anything.

Search for Lynda.com tutorials, were brilliant for me. "Web design Fundamentals" and "My First Website" is a must for a beginner
