Hey All..

I have been contracted in to do a website but before I get a proper contract I need to put a document together saying points about this website... valid, professional, and, well negative really... the web address is:

http://www.cheshire-biodiversity.org.uk

Any feedback on standards its not adhereing too.... anything really will be greatly recieved

Cheers,

Stelly

YUCK!
The little images at the top are actually much bigger, waste of bandwidth. In fact so is the logo and every other image on the page.
This is also meaning they look worse than they are because the browser doesn't do such a good job of resizing.

One of the best examples is on: http://www.cheshire-biodiversity.org.uk/plant-iomc.htm
The plant on the right really has dimensions of 1184*1812

I feel its lacking structure and needs some separation between banner, navigation and main body. I would recommend changing the hyperlinks to another font such as Arial. Also what resolution is it best viewed at because some of the links on the species are not lined up correctly. Im using internet explorer at 1280 x 1024.

Please repay the favour by commenting on my dissertation here:

Cheers.

Its lazy, lazy coding, lacking in structure, design and any sort of imagination.
As pointed out the images are HUUUUGE for their role on the page, the code is laden with invalid HTML and lacks accessibility features to make it universally readable.

Poor site IMO (same goes for the company site that created it)
