Hi

Well, I've completed my second ever private paid job website. Please take a look and let me know what you think.

The company owners gave me very little information, so I had to work hard to stretch out the limited content over four pages.

It's completed hand-coded. I find the best editor to be TextMate.

Vitis it here: http://www.nightvets.com

looks good. like the imagery

could do with a contact form so that if it achieves something in the rankings you won't get spammed to death

perhaps masthead is too big. i mean you've used up half the screen for a graphic (on 768 depth).

also the navigation bar at the top. in my opinion, it needs to be underneath the masthead so it's associated with the main content.

just my opinions

Nice use of the google maps api. How about providing a box for the user to insert their own postcode and get directions to the clinic? :)

They didn't pay for that. ;)

I like it, nice use of complimentary colours and a really nice header; my only complaint is that it's really stealing a lot of the real estate for people on lower reses than 1280, you're only getting a line or two of content on 1024 which is the major resolution; I don't how you'd lose some height off your headers though seen as they seem pretty well done. As said, the navigation does seem quite far away and a long way down to the content but it all gels well, if they've paid for it then job done, just post it on loads of forums and get their views up. :p

Yeah, I know what you mean about the size of the header. However the decision was taken based on the fact that the website doesn't really have any content. In theory, you could get the entire website onto one screen. If you look on the links page, you can see that each link has a logo and a paragraph of text... just to use up some more space.

In this case, I think the banners are the website lol. :)

It's all quite nice. Only thing: the banner images get blocked by a lot of ad blockers because of the file name e.g. banner*.jpg

Thanks for the info. I'll change the names of those banners to something more oblique.
