Of late websites such as OcUK aren't retaining my log-in details. Any suggestions on why. Using IE9 BTW.

ditch it and use Chrome.

click on Tools > Internet Options > Advanced. make sure a tick is on 'Use Inline AutoComplete'

Then in Internet Options, click on Content > AutoComplete Settings. Put a tick against 'Forms' and 'User names and passwords on forms'

Strange how this has come about. No issues with my work PC.

I'm thinking it might be cookie related. Many sites I visit, but not including this one warn about cookies.

No, Facebook too. I unticked that option earlier, waiting to see if it works now.

have you gone into :- tools / internet options / in general theres a tickbox for " browsing history - delete on exit " needs to be unticked ... not sure how long you have had ie9 , so just asking

Seems to be working ok today since following your advice.
