Website-Public uploading files?

In htdocs. Because htdocs/index.html looks like [your domain]/index.html so anything not in the htdocs folder won't be visible through the t'internet.

Well so far i have ordered MYSQL database (which i am pleased to say was free :D), i will keep you updated loL! :p
Once this is all setup, can users upload their videos for other people/viewers to then download ?
Thanks :)

used this script (or an earlier version of it) a while back. It's VERY easy to set up. As far as i can remember you just upload, CMOD and run the install script.

Can someone try it out please?

Sorry to bring this thread back to life but i am wanting to set up a free uploader and have followed the following thread and using the same uploader script, however i am getting the following error.

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Does anyone have any ideas or can shed some light on why i am getting this and how i can rectify the problem.

Thanks

SoliD

Do you have a .htaccess file? Perhaps you made a typo in it - try removing/renaming and see if the error goes away.

If not, ask your hosting provider to check the error log :).

Looks like your CSS file is unavailable (actually results in an internal server error - do you have a .htaccess in place?).

nah i had the htaccess file, but the install didnt work with it, so i deleted it. when i put it back on it does the same and says

Internal Server Error

so any ideas on what i need to edit to make the htaccess/templates working?
