Hi guys,

I'm trying to put together a website where I can have visitors upload photos and have those photos appear automatically on the website in an orderly fashion. Was hoping that you could help me out with some basic questions to get me started with the website.

Just wondering, what kind of programming language or script would I need to have to make this possible? Or are there any resources online I can refer to get myself started on this.

Are you wanting them in a gallery? Do you want them approved? Can use one of many upload scripts and a simple gallery script.
 
Yeah a gallery would be nice, a customisable one at that too. We have a certain layout in mind, just not sure where to begin to piece everything together and with what software.

Not even sure if its feasible for a newbie to try to do it or would be it more affordable to hire someone to do it for us.

I would like to have a go at it myself before resorting to hiring, but where should I begin looking at?
