OK I've got a domain that I had for donkeys years that has only ever been used to provide me with email services.

In the past I've had it pointing at other projects of mine or friends.

I'm now putting together a site using wordpress for content but am wanting people to land straight on my wordpress site.

When I installed wordpress it went to the folder www.the-pier.co.uk/wordpress

I've found a redirection script on the internet and added an index.html to my root with the redirection but it's not as clean as it should be.

How can I get people to land at my wordpress blog straight away from www.the-pier.co.uk

I'm using google adsense and analytics to serve ads and track visitors so these need to function with whichever solution people come up with!

Many thanks!

simple!

in your wordpress control panel they're is an option somewhere for somthing like "have your blog on a different directory" which basically tells Wordpress to create an index.php folder and its own redirection script in http://www.the-pier.co.uk/ which will send people to http://www.the-pier.co.uk/wordpress

this is all done automatically by wordpress, no need for any coding done by yourself

Yeh it will work anywhere within the body tags. Does wordpress use include files? (e.g. is there a file under the following 'include/head.php') as this will allow google to monitor the whole website if you put the analytics code in there.
