I've seen a website posted on here before used by the OcUK detectives that takes an image - and shows where it has been posted elsewhere.

Ie somebody posts a photo of their "girlfrend" hosted on their own website, OcUK detective puts photo into that website and it shows up as being publicly available on some models website or whatever.

Anybody know what website it is ? ive seen it mentioned before, but cant remember what it was called to search for it.

Sweet! Been looking for this for ages!

I still don't get it, especially that example.

What info has it provided you except how many times its been copied across the net?

Or is that exactly the point? :p

that is exactly the point

A photo you just've taken to post on overclockers of your lovely girlfriend wont appear on 100s of other websites (as an example)

remember it doesn't always work/find images.

it's also useful for finding out what an image is, say you find something interesting on the random image thread you can search it on tineye and find out what the picture is from other sites. :p

Haha! I love the firefox extension, didn't know this site existed!!
Thanks :D

Same here, got Firefox extension. I too didn't know that it was also a web site.

People questioned the point of Tineye. For me, I use to find larger versions of a wallpaper if they exist. E.g. if I found something in 1024x768, I'll use Tineye to trace it to 1280x1024 or 1600x1200 if they exist.
