Website to search for flights by date/price rather than destination?

Looking at going on a family holiday next year. We know when we can go and roughly what we can afford, but not hugely fussed about where we want to go to!

Does a website exist where you can choose a departure airport (or preferably even several), dates and price and it will give you a list of destinations and prices?

Alternatively, give me some hints for where is relatively cheap (Max £300pp flights) to fly to as 2 adults + a 5 year old at the end of May (the less touristy the better [no, not Syria]).

Hmm, I swear I checked skyscanner and it didn't do that, but it appears you are indeed correct... Don't I look stupid now XD

It's not ideal though, I've been looking for something similar for a while and haven't found anything better yet unfortunately. That said try the Google flights option, you can click on a map and find prices for random dates, faster and better than sky scanner in some ways.

What sort of trip do you want? Beach holiday or something more cultural for example? You could always try somewhere like Sardinia? Slightly less well known in the UK and apparently very nice place to go to. I have wanted to go for ages! Only issue is direct flights can be a pain to find, IIRC last time I looked they were only once a week and/or only in the summer season.

The problem with the likes of skyscanner, kyak, momondo etc.. is that you can filter out the bad Chinese airlines, but they reappear every time you change the dates or anything else that triggers a research.

I presume the OP does not want to fly China East Airlines, China Southern and the like. These usually flood the results with cheap flights.

Why avoid them? If they get you to where you need to go at a significant reduction in cost then use them. They wouldn't be my first choice, but depending on cost I'd use them. Yeah, they won't have as nice food or maybe as nice atmosphere as Cathay or Singapore, but then you're in cattle class so who gives a ****, you're just picking the least worst.

The biggest issue I have with skyscanner is the fact most of the prices on their "Everywhere" tab are either out of date or only cover a couple of airports in those countries, meaning you still have to open a million tabs. Also doesn't help that many of those prices are multiple stoppers, and TBH if I'm flying somewhere in Europe I'm not particularly interested in a flight to Helsinki via Paris...
