Right guys still working on the finer details for soundcards before i begin updating all of them however

Whilst I'm at it I will be updating headphones/headsets/microphones

So what specs do you feel are most important.

I've looked through our main suppliers and have come up with the following
All of these items will be searchable so provided i maintain a complete or near complete list for all items if you were to search for Over -Ear i would pull all over ear phones and headsets. same with rated impedance detachable cable what ever.

Code:
Specs
Manufacturer: dru brats
Headphone Type: Open Back
Headphone Style: Over Ear
Frequency Response: 5Hz-50000kHz
Sensitivity: 105dB
Max Input Power: 2000mW
Rated Impedance: 32 Ohm
Connectors: 1 x 3.5mm gold plated
Cable: 1 x 3m detaachable
Accessories included: carry bag
Warranty: lifetime

Does it need anything else? I'm limited by what companies provide I won't have time to hunt down every unique and fine detail The above is availible from Sennhesier AKG beyer ATH Roccat

Is driver size/type important?

Also how would you label 2.0 5.1 Virtual 5.1 actual As the idea is to unify all headphone/headsets so that they are A searchable and will pull up similar products. an dB look the same and provide the information you want and need to make an informed decision.

Is there a microphone?
Is it detachable?
Earpad material (pleather/velour/fabric)
Are the earpads replaceable?
Headphone configuration? (stereo / 5.1 / 7.1)

Virtual 5.1 / 7.1 will be a function of the sound card or motherboard unless it's a USB headset so this one's a bit tricky.

One of the first things I usually look at is the Ohm value followed by frequency response - for people not so clued up on sound a quick breakdown of what those kind of things means might not go amiss i.e. if it can be used straight off a soundcard, needs amping, etc. (Quick key not a long explanation).

Not sure how I'd categorise virtual sound setups i.e. the Sennheiser D range with the g4me 1 dongle - most people would likely just end up using them as a stereo headset mostly :S

great thanks guys,

microphone specs will be below where applicable in a similar table but for microphones.

hoping to have some new sku's online tomorrow ;)
