website update notifier?

ok, now i'm waiting for a website to update. is there any software out there that will keep checking a site any notify if there are any changes made?

I've had a quick search, but i don't know the technical name.

anybody help out?

Admittedly the vast majority will only detect changes on a single page so as long as you know which page youre waiting on update it should be adequate.
