Website with genre maps / "bands like"

Last year I stumbled accidentaly across a website that had very comprehensive "map" of music genres edited by general public. It had links and co-relations between bands, musicians etc. You would type a band name and it would show you pointers to stuff like where each of the musicians also played, sessions, copycat bands, what fans of the band also listen to, you know "band like" and "bands that sound like" etc.
I lost that link with my PC at work and can't find this website anywhere. I asked everyone in the office, no one ever heard of it.
Does anyone of you guys know what I'm talking about, encoutered website like this or was it in some paralel universe?

You may be thinking of pandora, it the music genome project that is growing day by day.
