Iam looking at getting a website together using wordpress and a template. Does anyone on here use wordpress for their site?

Iam liking the look of photocrati at the mo, just worried that everyone else might use the same and I dont fancy having a site looking like everyone else's.

Wordpress is perfectly fine to use, there are thousands of different themes that you can customise, so chances are your website won't look like someone elses although it'll obviously be a Wordpress site.

I use Photocrati.

It of course allows a degree of customisation but it will look similar to other Photographers websites. At the end of the day though, the people who are likely to notice that are other Photographers, rather than somebody who may be a paying client.

i use village theme for the marketing side of my site, client side is zenfolio.

Mods don't like promotion of photography businesses on this site. If you pop over to the talkphotography forums there are loads of website threads with some examples.

My site is wordpress with gallery2 doing the image sales and it's fine...

Wordpress works well on my site, I use a slightly modified theme which I purchased for about $25 (seems like it costs more now though) from ThemeForest, it's called Echoes.

Can you tell me, can you change the photo layouts quite easily? Can you password protect certain photo albums, and take payments?
