websites and google searches...help

hi guys im a bit new to webdesigning and im wondering once a website has been built, how can you give it its best chance of appearing in search engines like google, when someone does a simple search?

Well it depends what they search for, but assuming you mean that the website is indexed and just there if you search your domain then a few links from other sites, even here and google would pick up on it. Can take a little while sometimes.

If you mean you want certain keywords like "red cars" to show your website it's quite a complex task, look up "search engine optimization" and you'll see what I mean.

With any luck you will have designed the website with SEO in mind. If you have it up post the URL. Assuming all is well and good you then need to start your off page optimisation. If you post the URL I will try give you some more specific feedback.
