Webspace/site?

I want to create website, to put on my case mod project, and some other random stuff. I was wondering how i go about making a website these days, is there any other route i could take other than geocities like sites? without paying lol

Unless you're a friend of someone with access to hosting, yes you'll need to pay like the rest of us.

Free alternatives like freewebs and geocities are not cut out to host proper websites.

If it is just the one website you are planning on building then paying for hosting is probably a waste of money. There is nowt wrong with the free hosting sites and in many cases they have tools for quickly chucking together a webpage.

In addition to the ones you mentioned I think google do one called googlepages.
