Hi,

Whilst completing my personal site on the third page I discovered in order to have a blog you need PHP and MYSQL server side...

I get free webspace with my ISP but unfortuantely they do not support MYSQL or PHP therefore I cannot implement my blog..

So I'm on the sponge and asking if anyone has any webspace with a domain I could have for free...Like they say you dont ask you dont get...

Its only a personal site I dont expect thousands of visitors just something I'm playing around with...

Any offers would be greatly appreciated...

Cheers :)

www.000webhost.com has been recommended quite a bit on OCUK, i myself even decided to sign up for an account (purely as a backup to my main server)

They support PHP, MySQL, a limited amount of space (350meg) but 100gig of bandwidth.

Seems a little too good to be true to be perfectly honest, it won't be until i have to depend on it during a server relocation i have coming up that i'll be able to know for sure.

I think the only thing wrong with them is slightly slower than average servers.

As for a domain, you could just use the subdomain they give you.

I had noticed that but i put it down to it being a peak time here in the UK, as well as the US coming online, i haven't done any proper tests, but the databases seem slow.

Still, pretty good for a freebie.

In the days of free webspace ^ and tsohost offering their lite package for just £1.25 a month, it's hardly worth bothering people for an ftp / mysql account.
