WEC 2024

Surprised the 50 Ferrari wasn't told to stop and sort it's missing headlight. They've told teams to do that before.

14 seconds final gap between #50 Ferrari and #7 Toyota

I thought that too. They do usually pull teams up for that.

What happened to the #8 Toyota? They were both next to each other when I reset my feed and then #8 dropped back about 30 seconds.

That was a great Le Mans, so many unknowns but made for great racing.

Porsche need to fire the weather man and bad tyre calls but that said they where a bit off the pace over all.

That's a well-deserved win for Ferrari.

Yeah, it's a safety issue. It's just a quick change of the front clamshell unless it's a deeper fault. Seen it done during normal stops. They used to do it when it started to get dark, replace the daytime front clam with ones with more lights.

#8 had to do a fuel splash

I mean they waited until ferrari needed a pit stop to tell them to sort the safety issue of an open door. One lamp working won't have even crossed their mind. Waved away the last of their unsafe releases from the pit. FIA will be pleased with how they handled it.

Decent race, good to see it so close all the way to the end. Though I feel thats mostly down to the safety cars and conditions.
Cant say I'm a huge fan of the Hypercars, but then I never was a fan of the prototypes either. I always watched for the GT1's in years past. I know the Hypercars were the main attraction, however I would have preferred a bit more coverage of the GT3's. I found it very difficult to follow that class this year.

I like that the BoP brought the racing much closer. I'm generally a fan of BoP series, it allows for much much larger variation in car design. Whilst the BoP wasnt perfect, it rarely ever is for a single race, It works better over a season. However if you look at LeMans as a single event(I'm aware it is part of the WEC season, double points for this round) it was a very good attempt. That said, I think they need to communicate better what has been done to the cars to level the performance.

Went around Le Mans from Tours at about 1pm and it was fine. Not that that helps.

Bit slow getting out of the race after the chequered flag but I've seen it worse.
