Wedding album - guest shots?

I'm putting together a wedding album for my girlfriend's sister who managed to get all the stills but no prints.

My question is, do you put shots of the guests mingling etc in the album? After normally doing video it feels like I'm missing a massive part of the day by not having them in, but the only two choices seem to be:

a) Have a few big images of a few individuals, which obviously leaves out a lot of people (or takes up a lot of pages), or;
b) Have quite a few (~8) shots of people on a page, which every time I do this looks like a crime watch poster of perps.

Any tips/suggestions/inspiration?

Gotcha. And I'm using InDesign.

Depending on the size of the album really. If there's lots of room then put some in prioritising with close friends and then work outwards. Also, if they got a main group shot with everyone in that can be good as a double page spread in a larger album as they'll be able to see everyones faces.

Yeah I tried having the group shoot as a double page spread but it just meant they (the bride and groom) would be in the fold.

And if I do put them in, how do I make them not look like perps? :p

Ah, yes, and herein lies the issue: your photos are good and varied :p.

All I have to play with is effectively headshots, hence why the look like "have you seen these 8 perps". This is the best I've been able to mock up. There aren't even any shots of GVs or cutaways (as I'd call them) such as your marquee, laptop, lights, cork board etc. There's also no reactions for the speeches!

Still unsure/playing with the blue strips after googling for some inspiration.
