Got some random snaps from guests but can't be bothered to download from FB and host etc. Ill sort it when I have more time. Unless I am allowed to link to the pics from FB? I am not sure on that ruling here.
Anyway.....
The experience of yesterday was quite, well different! This might turn into a wall of text depending on how I remember things
I woke up early as my little one woke me up. Git. So having him all morning and most of the afternoon was a bit of godsend as it took my mind of things. To a certain extent anyway. As breakfast, playtime and cartoons took a good two hours, he was ready for his nap. So I put him down and proceeded to clean the house. Last thing we wanted to do was come home today and have to do that too along with sorting gifts, all the decorations for the function room we had to bring back too.
So I cleaned up and it only took an hour if that. So from 9am I had literally nothing to do. A few messages to the wife to be and photographer was all I did really. The photographer came to mine around 11am with his daughter (she was taking photos too. Good practice) they got some of me getting ready, rings, various other bits and bobs. the dog got in some too. Had a chat for while whilst they snapped away at natural candid shots of me. Time was getting on and I had to wake up little one. So I got him down stairs, and got him ready in his suit. They got plenty of him and to be honest I really am looking forward to my lads photos. He is so photogenic.
So about Midday the pair went to the Hotel where the good lady stayed with her Mum and Sister. The Maids were there to. They had photos done too.
Now, this is where it got out of hand and tempers flared up. My missus has a short fuse and the smallest thing can really
**** her off. It was supposed to be HER day but it turned out the mother-in-law (missus Mum) wanted herself to be center of attention. The big dress has to be put on early-ish so it can settle down and allow the bride to sit and move freely. This was delayed due to the MIL faffing around and not getting ready when others were ready to have photos of various set pieces done, like bride on the stairs, getting into the car etc. Bare in mind the wedding starts at 3:15 the MIL wasn't even showered or had hair done before 1:30. According my now wife and others that were there, this was bang out of order. EVERYONE should be ready in plenty of time and the bride should be the one be done last, or at least a few bits left till last thing. All this cracking off the photographer didn't even get any shots of wifey getting into the car as he had to take 2 maids to the ceremony in time for the bride to arrive herself. Needless to say people were very annoyed.
To cap it off the car arrive for my wife 35 minutes early and wanted to be paid for waiting.. This was soon put to rest. He could
**** right off. We are making a complaint tomorrow to the hire firm.
So. My wife was all made up and looking amazing and was angry, upset and had tears. She told everyone she can't do it as it's just got to much. Yet again, family getting in the way and sticking noses in and try to out do her. It's not on.
Anyway. Whilst all this was cracking off without my knowledge my friend came round to mine about 1pm with some bottles of beer. Very welcome bottles of beer too I might add. We had a chat, watched a bit of the Man Utd game, he helped me sort out little one too. His mum picked us up around 2pm and we went to the Quad which is next to the registry office. Sun beating down upon us. Cold pint of 1664 each. Baby babbling away in his push chair. Guests arrived as the hour passed on. Caught up with some chit chat. Then we were ushered in the office. I spoke to the registrar about things then the guests arrived and took their seats. About 10 mins passed and no sign of my bride. Then all of a sudden our choice of music started playing and the brides entrance is made. She looked beautiful. I had my lad with me and we watched as she walked towards us. She eventually smiled. I knew something cracked off. This is so out of order. It's her big day and it was already spoiled by her mum.
The ceremony went very well. We exchanged our own vows which we made our selves. It was all over so fast and and unreal feeling.
After the walk out side we had the 'group' photos and the normal ones done then myself and my wife went to a local park for some alone time. He took some photos along with his daughter. We were there for 30 mins or so and on the way back to the reception at the hotel it started to rain.. We just made it. Sun all day for everything and once we started the party it rained. Can't grumble.
My side of the day was great. nothing went wrong or
****ed me off (apart from my wife getting
****ed at her mum) but I felt so bad for my wife.

I guess the only thing that went wrong was my choice of Best man, who I asked last year didn't take our 'we are getting married' seriously. I did remind him a few times this year but he forgot. Unfortunate he didn't come to the evening party due to being tired and skint but that's life I guess.
I wont take up any of your time but the evening party was messy.

usual crew getting hammered. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
