Morning all! Seabiscuit and I get married 5 months today yay!! We are stuck for what to do for wedding favors at the wedding breakfast, we don't really want sweets. So what did the good geeks of OCUK use? we are open to suggestions!:D:D:D:D

You could do what myself and my fiancée are doing - this

Sweets, gifts.... anything else really, seems such a silly thing to do, when you have the ability to do something a little more meaningful; though I appreciate it is down to personal choice.

Best of luck picking something, and congratulations :)

Mr Seabiscuit might act like he really gives a **** about these things but believe me, he doesn't. He's only pretending to care because you'll go nuts if he doesn't. It's nothing personal, it's the way pretty much every couple's wedding planning is.

BTW, breakfast at a wedding? That's going to be a long day!

Have you thought about miniature whiskies? You can buy them in bulk and they're popular wedding favours here.

ha ha Scuzi trust me as for going nuts I don't mind if Seabiscuit doesn't want something we don't have it. I think my mother is doing more of the demanding instead of letting us choose, so nope i`m not bridezilla :D I do think though sone women do go a little overboard tbh we just want a nice day with family and friends.

p.s yes yes yes wedding brekkie stupid name and all that it just means first meal as a married couple yeah its a daft name lol :D:D:D:D:

This +1

Breast cancer pins for the ladies and just a normal one for the guys (not sure they do prostate cancer pins specifically) :)

How about something tasteful? Like a little note in a dainty envelope which reads, 'As a special wedding favour to you, this envelope does not contain close-up photos of our genitals.'

I know I'd appreciate it. :)

Yup, wedding breakfast is first meal as a married couple :)

Congrats MrsS :) how are the rest of the arrangements going?

Favours are really pointless in my opinion and a waste of money... but something small is nice to have.

A friend of mine went totally overboard with favours... chocolates with their names on, little shot glasses with chocolates and then almonds and port (the port was nice! ;)) as well - waaay too much!

Shouldn't have to thank your guests tbh seeing as you have paid £50+ for them to be there :o

;)

One of my friends gave everybody candles with their wedding date, place and name on them and my brother gave everybody little buckets with sweets and a named donation to Marie Curie cancer trust. I though both were excellent and not too pricey
