I realised that I've never really shared a lot of my photos here.

I need to start pushing myself more both personally and professionally, make more effort to get weddings booked because although they are hard work I love doing them.

I usually do a slideshow to the first dance music of the day, however they have company logos at the end which I know isn't allowed so I've redone one of my fav ones taken the logo out.

Crit welcomed.

I know where my own flaws are, where I need to and want to practice, sharpen up etc but it's nice to get feedback from others. :)

Have you considered using something like pro show or animoto to make your slideshows a little more intersting. The slideshow you've produced contains some lovely images but feels very dated.

At the start with the bride getting ready, was it you who closed the curtains?
If so was, I assume it was not to blow out the background. Imo that is a background you want to blowout.

Also a few look a little cheesy.. bride in bath tub etc.
Why not go outside before sunset when the light would have been nice?
There are a few with awkward halfblink expressions (one during the ceremony). Bride & Grooms as well as future B&G's won't like those.

Lastly Britney Spears does not belong on a wedding video full stop, unless it's one of those first dance crazes where they start off serious, then suddenly skip to 'hit me baby one more time'.

It would be interesting to see a recent wedding though, as 2 years is a long time in photographer years.

That was done with Pro Show however it was one of the earlier versions, however a lot of the effects in pro show feel very...well..."health and safety video ish".

Curtains were already shut, and it was a mad rush that morning due to some issues that were going on so I didn't have time to prep the room like I normally would.

With the bride in bath tub and the music, B&G's choice. They wanted the photo there, there's a few things I won't do in a photo/pp (selective colouring etc) but if its a certain pose or location they want then they get it. It's their day, I'm there to record it. I also agree the music was a very odd choice considering the words/video that goes with it. However, if it was important enough to them to have it as their first dance song it was acceptable to have it on the video, it's just another memory of the day :)

I'll try and find some time to edit some of the others I have and post them up.

Thanks for the feedback :)

I know what you mean, I just think you could inject some more life into it and then probably sell it for more, give the animoto free trial ago it produces very good results that seem to sell well judging by the number of wedding togs using it!

First dance choices are a very personal thing and to a lot of people it doesn't matter what a song is about or they haven't relised it's all about how it connects them together.

Exactly, it means something to them and despite my feelings on the song that's what I like to use for the slideshow, just adds more feeling for them :)

Christ...mine was 3 songs. 10 seconds to the start of Golddigger...:p then some Akon Beautiful then a Celine Dion song

We had to ditch the top two contenders as on proper listening the songs that reminded us of each other were about domestic violence in one case and missing someone who's dead!
