Wayne Rooney will miss Manchester United's match against Bolton because of a calf injury he suffered during England's defeat in Ukraine last week.

Goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar will make his first appearance of the season, but Dimitar Berbatov could miss out following the birth of his first child.
