* weekend football thread *

If I were Ferguson, I would put out a reserve/youth team. Nothing to lose by doing so and the reserves/youth players get a bit of experience...albeit against Hull.

Anyone think if Man Utd have a reserve team at Hull next week and lose and Newcastle fail to beat Villa, would the FA look into it? For Man Utd to send Newcastle down buy losing to hull with a reserve team im pretty sure plenty of newcastle supporters wont be impressed. Personally i think Man Utd have every right to rest all there prospective team for the European cup final, but i can see there could be repercusions if its a very reserve Man u team.

The team Ferguson puts out next week will still be a strong one, if any fans of other teams are thinking of laying the blame of possible relegation down to a game that they are not part of, they need their heads checked. If Newcastle find themselves relegated, it's down to them and the results they got during the season not the team selection of a different club.

Fergie had better put out a strong team, to beat Hull. That makes it the possibility that they go down :D. Need Boro to win by a few though.

Liverpool will win tomorrow. I'm not even entertaining the possibility that West Brom will get 3 points because they won't. Team Benitez will want as many points on the board as possible and they'll get them.

Don't be silly. You could put our your strongest team and still fix the match. Bookies got stung when Weymouth put their U18s out against Dagenham & Redbridge because they lost their loan players due to going into administration. Final score was 0-9, D&R were 5/6 the night before. Clever people cottoned on and backed it to the hills, it's not their fault the bookies screwed up!

Loved the Anderson marching and Ronaldo/Anderson interview after the match.

Naff season really, no real iconic moments apart from Macheda's winner against Villa. Despite Liverpool's challenge I can safely say the only time I was worried was after the Fulham game. Liverpool had a good season but without going into detail, they also had a LOT of things go their way in quite a few matches this season. Saying that though it was surprising they lasted as long as they did but next season I'm quite sure Fergie won't let it get that close again.

Anywho, onwards to Rome.

We'll put a strong side out against Hull it certainly won't be full strength though. Rooney has played a lot recently as has Ronaldo, Ferdinand should start, probably alongside Evans.

Would you really play Ferdinand, considering all his injury problems this season and in what is now a meaningless game for you, 3 days before the CL final?
