Hi there

The crazy Samsung memory which some members are seeing as high as 2700MHz and I myself have achieved 2400MHz were offering at a crazy weekend only deal price:-

Samsung Green 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz 30nm Dual Channel Kit (MV-3V4G3D/US) **WEEKEND SPECIAL** @ £43.99 inc VAT

MY-017-SA_400.jpg

These Samsung Green kits are a world first using 30nm technology. This results in lower power usage, extended life and ultra low profile making them compatible with all DDR3 solutions including small form factor.

Boost performance with Samsung genuine PC memory. As the number one memory supplier in the world, Samsung DRAM modules are made with 100% Samsung components. With the 30nm-Class DDR3 1600MHz Extreme Low Voltage UDIMM module from Samsung, you can get faster speed and greater reliability from your computer while consuming less energy. Use Samsung UDIMM DDR3 memory to replace or increase the memory in your desktop or server. This Samsung DDR3 memory module employs 30-nanometer technology and, as a result, uses up to 65 percent less power and is only two-thirds the size of conventional 60-nanometer memory modules. This version of Samsung DDR3 has a 8 GB capacity (2 DRAM modules, each with 4 GB).

The other major advantage of these modules is their overclocking ability, in our own testing we achieved 2400MHz with CAS 11-11-11-28-1T timings with just 1.55v resulting in staggering levels of performance.

This is a great price for memory, when you factor in that these are the most overclockable modules on the market right now due to their 28nm production, this price is an absolute steal!! :D

Arghhh!!! it keeps on coming down... my bad for not ordering from you :( let this be a lesson folks, buy your goods from OCUK!!! - (I'm still waiting for mine to arrive from the US)....

Excellent price :-)

Would consider swapping my corsair units for these based on the height reduction alone!

Anyone got any idea's how much i'd get for my 2x 4gb patriot viper ii sector 5 2000mhz memory?

i would like to get 2 kits of the samsung. i currently have managed to get my memory to run at 1866mhz at 1.5v instead of the 1.65v it should be.

other than that i suppose i could just by one set of sammys and run them both at 1866mhz with quicker timings at 1.50. will i see much difference between 1866mhz and 2400mhz?

cheers,

buzzin

What system do you run? Sandybridge systems don't see much improvement with faster RAM speeds really. Unfortunately we can't do price checks outside of the members market. If you've already got fast RAM I'd stick with that :)

ok mate cheers! i have 2600k sandybridge and ordered as soon the new p8p67 b3 boards came out but unfortunately then i didnt realise it wouldnt support 2000mhz. i will take your advice and somehow resist this deal and wait on some gtx 480 magic pricing to go sli :)

If your patriot will run at 2000Mhz at reasonable voltage anyway, that's not bad RAM ;) That being said it's always nice to have the best and at this price I'm tempted too!

The 480s are already a pretty good price!

OK, I can resist no longer. 16GB ordered.

Plus I've worked out that with the lifetime warranty, this stuff should pay for itself in power savings (assuming I live to 173). :p

PS What software would you recommend for :
1) Stability testing
2) Benchmarking (to test 1866/C9 vs 2133/C10 etc)
