Hi

I am about to move into a City Center flat in Nottingham, with no Car Parking. When people come to stay for the weekend, any ideas where it would be best for them to stay, I was thinking Hucknall or another Park and Ride, but have been told the car will likely be broken in during the night (the car will be unattended all weekend), does anyone know any cheap car parks (some occupied are saying £14 a day), or decent'ish streets to park on that don't require a permit?

Cheers

Well, whenever I go back to Nottingham I park in a residential street in Wollaton and get the 2 bus into town.

Nope, I've been doing it for a couple years, every month or two for a weekend.

Just as long as you don't park in front of someone's driveway.

Alternatively, taxis are cheap as chips in Notts so you don't even need to be particularly close to a bus stop.

I live near the Phoenix Park tram park and ride (just off junction 26 of M1) and I've left my car there all weekend (drive down without any bother before. They're covered by CCTV and well lit so I imagine that's a pretty good deterrence.

Alternatively having lived in Beeston before without a drive or anything I've parked around the Marlborough Road area of Beeston for a year without any bother.
