Has no one told you? If you pay more for them then they sound better, it's why Beats are so popular. If other brands would just charge as much as beats then everyone would have great audio! So it's a great this week only offer really...

philistine...i heard beats were related to monster....you know the people whos cables were more cablier...at 10x price..

Audio Technica M series is much better. You get a lot for the ~£120 M50X. I have the M30X which costs half as much and doesn't skew towards bass, having great balance across the board. I know more expensive headphones are often bass heavy, but not everyone wants that.
I also remember being on holiday abroad a few years ago where some youths were talking about how cheap the Beats were. I think they were ~£60. One of the kids exclaimed they must be fake and the other kid who'd bought them told him they weren't. Beats... appealing to brainless youths. The Apple of headphones.
